I started out setting up hosting services for the floor covering industry for flooring retailers in the Chicago land area. In 1998, I started to host 3-D virtual worlds. (A perfect example of a beloved hobby consuming you.) By January of 2000, I had enough users on my IP based server and Chicago3D.Net was born. We provide Internet web page, domain hosting and hosting for 3D virtual worlds. We also sell 3D Activeworlds, Activeworlds galaxys and Activeworlds universe servers.

Our servers are located in Texas for fast and reliable service across the country and around the world. The servers are connected to the internet with five Gigabit links, three GigE links, one OC3 line, and one DS3 line. Our bandwidth supplier is one of the largest in the world and we expect them to be around for a long time. Our network is protected by an un-interruptible power supply and backup generators.
