Chi 3D has sold and hosted 3D virtual worlds since 1998. Due to the economy and people not being able to afford expensive hobbies, in March of 2010 I was forced to shut down our hosting servers. Hey, it was a good 12 year run right?
I am still addicted to virtual 3D on the net and am hanging out in World Of Warcraft community. Even my love for cooking spilled over in to my 3D life. My main character is a master chef in there! Check out our World Of Warcraft community’s guild web site. I know, shameless plug.
In the days to come I hope to help bring a cross section of Italian home cookery to your kitchen door. From the Alps to Sicily, from the rice and polenta eating north to the tomato loving south, it’s all good.
All 4 of my grand parents immigrated to America from Italy in the late 1920′s and all brought their family recipes with them. My mom’s parents both came from Sicily and my dad’s from Naples. Both pairs of my grand parents had 11 children each. With all my aunts, uncles and cousins, you can maybe imagine what “family get togethers” were like when I was growing up. The term “cooking for an army” was taken literally in my house and the number one rule was always to have enough food. If you had 20 people coming to dinner, cook for 40.
Besides being a musician, at different times, my dad owned 2 restaurants in Waukegan, IL. and was general manager for another two. One in Waukegan and one in Libbertyville, IL. He always said the key to good Italian cooking is to keep it simple and use basic and fresh ingredients. This blog is intended to stay true as possible to my family recipes by keeping them authentic and basic.
